Almost £5000

As we reached the end of 2006, so did our fundraising. We did not make our target of £8000 but we almost raised a whopping £5000!

We've passed our funds over to another group who will also be fundraising for Watoto until April 2007. Together we will be in a position to build maybe 3 houses, instead of one each. I would like to thank everyone involved in our fundraising, whether it was sponsoring our 50km hike, walking alongside us on our Mini Walk, or just for moral support you helped a great cause, and there are children that owes their lives to you!!!

We did our 50 km challenge in Wales on the 15 & 16 September 2006, and it was great please check out our photo's.....

Who and What are We!!!!!!!!!

We are a group of 20 ladies who want to raise enough money to enable Watoto Children Ministries in Uganda to build a home for 8 Aids Orphans and a house mother. To build this house would cost £8,000.

In addition, we are aspiring to be in position to give an additional sum of £3,000 to go towards the infrastructure of the Watoto Villages. For more information on Watoto please click here....

We are embarking on various fundraising events to enable us to raise these funds:

• We have already completed one of our challenges on the 29 July 06. We walked 18km along the Thames river. From Tower Bridge to Wandsworth park.
• Our main event is a 50km coastal hike in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It will be a 2 day hike coming up 15-16 September 2006.For more information on our challenge, please click here... Watoto 50km Challenge
• We will be ending our fundraising efforts with a charity event. We will be auctioning off all sorts of goodies, everything from eligible bachelors to sunglasses!
